Forest Contract and Konak Cafe collaborated on the full refurbishment of the Wilmslow based cafe. Tubs, chairs and tables, fixed seating as well as feather topped sofas created a lived in relaxing vibe that rejuvenated the café much to the delight of the owners and the local community.
The client didn’t have a colour scheme in mind, but wanted to create a bright environment that also offered that ‘home from home’ feel. Having visited our contract furniture showroom to discuss fabrics, leathers and colours the customer decided on a mix of fabrics and leathers, and whilst here also choose the wood stain to be used on all the furniture.
From the Oregon Veneer back side chair, in our C Range Leather to the EST Tub Chairs in B and C range stripes all finished with the same wood stain to ensure consistency through each area of the café.
Forest Contract also manufactured 10 metres of bespoke banquette seating for the cafe and a number of Portland bar stools, all of which were upholstered in the same leather as the café chairs.
A range of different size table tops, some of which were bespoke made to fit the unique shape of the venue were manufactured and delivered and fitted to cast iron table bases.
Typical production time scales are 4 – 8 weeks (varying with project size and furniture requirements), but the Café needed their furniture in just 3 weeks, so the production team worked hard, and I’m pleased to say the furniture was made just in time for the re-launch.
The owners of the cafe were extremely happy with their order and later in the year, came back to Forest Contract to add a few more tables and chairs.
