Headboards
Upholstered headboards for hotels and guest houses, made to order in our own workshops in any size from single to emperor.

Choosing a hotel headboard
Size
Every headboard is made to order, from single (1,020 mm wide) to our grande emperor (2,230 mm). Taller and wider designs make a feature wall behind the bed.
Floor-standing or wall-hung
A floor-standing headboard sits behind the bed; a wall-hung headboard is fixed to the wall at the height you choose, independent of the bed.
Style
Winged and deep-buttoned designs give a traditional, enclosing look. Fluted, panelled and plain shapes suit contemporary rooms.
Fabric
Upholster in our fabrics and leathers graded A to E, or your own with a CRIB 5 certificate.

Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for?
We appreciate that our brochures and online literature cannot always capture every requirement. If you have something specific in mind, we would welcome the opportunity to see if we can help. Simply share any guidance you have, such as images, design intent or links to any specific products or styles of interest, and our team will take it from there.
Through our established relationships with leading factories and suppliers across the UK and Europe, Forest Contract has access to an extensive range of products beyond those featured in our brochures. Whatever your vision, we are well placed to help you realise it.
Photography is for illustration only. On request, we can create visuals to show how a design would look in your chosen fabrics and finishes.
Where you will find them
Hotel headboards, made to your sizes
A headboard is the first thing a guest sees in the room, and the piece that most sets its style. We make ours in our own workshops, so the size, shape, height and fabric can all follow your scheme.
At Hotel Cromwell in Stevenage we made nearly 100 bespoke headboards and bed frames, and at Longfield House in Leeds, headboards in a light cream fabric with divan bases made to size. Beds, mattresses and the rest of the room can come on the same order.
Questions we are often asked
What is a winged headboard?
A winged headboard has side panels, or wings, that come forward on each side of the bed. They frame the bed, give a sense of enclosure and make a strong feature in a hotel room. We make winged headboards plain or buttoned.
What size headboard do I need?
Make the headboard at least as wide as the bed. UK beds are about 90 cm wide for a single, 135 cm for a double, 150 cm for a king and 180 cm for a super king; our headboards are 1,020, 1,460, 1,590 and 1,920 mm wide for those sizes, and 2,230 mm for a grande emperor.
Can headboards be fixed to the wall?
Yes. We make headboards to stand on the floor or to hang on the wall, to suit the room.
Can you make headboards to our design?
Yes. Every headboard is made to order, so we can follow your drawings, sizes and fabric, and make a sample for approval first.
Can we use our own fabric?
Yes. We will need a CRIB 5 certificate for the fabric before production begins.
