Bar stools for a busy service
A good bar stool has to look right at the counter and stand up to a busy night. Our range covers upholstered stools with low, high and open backs, and stools with arms, on timber frames with a footrest.
Seats and backs can be upholstered in different fabrics or leathers, and many designs share a look with one of our side chairs, so the bar and the dining room match. Every upholstered stool meets BS 5852 (CRIB 5).
As a rule of thumb, a counter about 1,050 mm high suits a seat about 750 mm high. Your account manager can check heights against your counter or shelf.
Hotel bar stools tend to be more upholstered, with backs and arms for a long evening; pub and café stools need to be sturdy and easy to clean. For terraces, see our outdoor range.
Questions we are often asked
What seat height do we need?
As a guide, leave about 250 to 300 mm between the seat and the top of the counter. A counter about 1,050 mm high suits a seat about 750 mm high.
Do your bar stools match your chairs?
Many do. The Bari, Carla, Flow, Joyce, Magda, Manor, Miala, Ohio, Sofia and Sophia also come as side chairs.
Do your bar stools meet contract fire regulations?
Yes. Every upholstered piece we supply meets BS 5852 (CRIB 5), the fire standard for contract seating in pubs, restaurants, hotels and other public venues.
Can we see the stools before we order?
