Can’t find exactly what you’re looking for?
We appreciate that our brochures and online literature cannot always capture every requirement. If you have something specific in mind, we would welcome the opportunity to see if we can help. Simply share any guidance you have, such as images, design intent or links to any specific products or styles of interest, and our team will take it from there.
Through our established relationships with leading factories and suppliers across the UK and Europe, Forest Contract has access to an extensive range of products beyond those featured in our brochures. Whatever your vision, we are well placed to help you realise it.

Where you will find them
Armchairs for comfortable dining
An armchair adds comfort where guests linger: at the head of the table, in a hotel restaurant or in a club dining room. Our range includes traditional winged and scrolled designs such as the Colchester, and contemporary rounded shapes such as the Aztec and Ohio Grande.
Several share a look with one of our side chairs, so the two can be mixed around one table. Upholstery comes from our fabrics and leathers graded A to E, or your own, and every armchair meets BS 5852 (CRIB 5).
At Simonstone Hall in Wensleydale, 30 armchairs in four colours set the tone for the whole dining room.
In cafés, an armchair invites guests to stay for a second coffee; in pubs, a pair of armchairs by the fire becomes the best seat in the house.
Questions we are often asked
What is the difference between a side chair, an armchair and a carver?
A side chair has no arms, so it tucks closely under the table. An armchair has arms for extra comfort. A carver is the traditional name for the armchair in a set of matching dining chairs, once placed at the head of the table for whoever carved the meat.
Do your armchairs match your side chairs?
Several do. The Colchester, Magda, Naomi and Ohio come as both a side chair and an armchair, and the Cali and Warsaw also come as bar stools.
Will an armchair fit under our tables?
It depends on the arm height and your table's frame. The brochure gives the dimensions of every design, and your account manager can check them against your tables.
Do your armchairs meet contract fire regulations?
Yes. Every upholstered piece we supply meets BS 5852 (CRIB 5), the fire standard for contract seating in pubs, restaurants, hotels and other public venues.
Can we see the chairs before we order?
Yes. Our showroom in Salford is open seven days a week. To meet our contract team there at a weekend, book an appointment on 0161 737 6918.
Are armchairs good for cafés?
Yes. A few armchairs among side chairs give guests a reason to linger. Choose a compact design so tables still fit, and a fabric that wipes clean.
