Forest Contract were originally asked to produce the furniture for the Damside student accommodation in Lancaster in 2015. Approached by Form Interiors on behalf of Holmere, the original brief was to create an open, vibrant area for the students to meet, relax and study. For this particular project, a mixture of banquette seating was used throughout, most of which was upholstered in bright colours to give the venue unique character and vibe.

Unfortunately during the 2015 winter floods at the location in which the venue is based, the building was heavily flooded and had to be completely re-supplied in January 2016. Given the quality craftsmanship and quick turnaround that Forest Contract were able to provide the first time around, we were approached again to re-supply all the furniture that was damaged during the floods.
The revival process was quick and efficient, with this vibrant example of interior design being turned around again in a matter of weeks. Whilst the venue was being cleaned out, Forest Contract quickly got to work on re-manufacturing the banquette seating to the exact specifications of the original order. We produce all of our furniture to order in dedicated factories in both Blackburn and Manchester which allows us to offer a complete aftercare service to assist with future requests such as these.
