West Wilts Golf Club in Warminster wanted to modernise its clubhouse while keeping the welcoming feel its members have enjoyed for years, with lounge and dining areas that make the most of the views across the course.

Golf club furniture for West Wilts Golf Club
Working with Wiltshire's Chosen Designer, we created a digital moodboard before a single chair was ordered, setting a palette of warm timber, soft neutrals and muted green drawn from the landscape. Once the club approved it, we supplied the whole package: lounge chairs, two-seater sofas, dining chairs, and dining, coffee and occasional tables.
As on every scheme we design, the club's team visited our showroom in Salford to see the furniture in person.

About West Wilts Golf Club
Founded in 1891, West Wilts is one of the oldest golf clubs in the South West. Its 18-hole course was designed by J.H. Taylor and sits on a hilltop on Elm Hill, about 200 metres above sea level on the edge of Salisbury Plain, with views across Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. The chalk ground drains well, so heavy rain rarely closes it.
The course is an inland links in downland style, playing to about 5,800 yards from the white tees. The club has been run since 1920 by West Wilts Golf Club Limited, and its captains raise money each year for local causes; in 2025 they shared £4,800 between Warminster Community Hospital's Longleat Ward and Julia's House children's hospice.
Warm timber, soft neutrals and muted green
The moodboard took its palette from the landscape outside: warm timber, soft neutrals and a muted green, the colours of downland grass and chalk. In the lounge and dining room, upholstered chairs in sage and a pale oatmeal weave sit at warm walnut-effect tables, with scooped backs that are comfortable for a long lunch and look neat from the bar.
Big windows and a terrace look out across the course, and the low, simple shapes of the furniture keep that view clear. Woven drum pendants, cream curtains and a white-panelled bar counter complete a room that feels updated but still familiar to members who have known it for years.
