Abbeyford Leisure-Elie Holiday Park

Here at Forest Contract, we recently finished our latest project with Abbeyford Leisure. Having previously supplied a range of furniture to some of their other sites, such as their St Andrews Holiday Park, we were asked to furnish their Elie Holiday Park.

Situated just north of Edinburgh, Elie provides the ideal location for a holiday park, and this one is located in the stunning Shell bay-a picturesque area which includes a beautiful beach just a few feet away from the site. We were proud to continue to work with Abbeyford Leisure to supply furniture to their award winning sites.

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to supply the whole venue, with us producing over 90 table tops and bases, a wide variety of seating and restaurant furniture which totalled nearly 180 chairs, as well as some made to order sofas and banquette seating.

Restaurant Furniture

We supplied a wide variety of restaurant furniture for their restaurant area, which included 28 laminate table tops. These tables were finished in two different laminates. The first batch was finished in Altofina Ash 001-a subtly coloured wooden look laminate, with a matching edging to complete the look. The other laminates were Egger Black Copper Marble-a stunning marble style laminate with a natural, textured look. Both of these table tops were then added to black twin pedestal and 3 leg dining table bases.

To match the tables, a selection of seating was supplied, ranging from side chairs to banquette seating. To start, 24 Brunswick Side Chairs were made in two colour schemes, the first being a dark green Manhattan Spruce faux leather, matched with our equally dark 325 wood stain. The other design was Agua Taurus Chilli-light orange faux leather with an authentic leather feel combined with great durability, making it ideal for any environment. These chairs were also finished with our 325 wood stain to keep the wood style consistent.

Another Spruce fabric was next, this time it was on 11 Jo P Side Chairs. These look fantastic in the dark green/black fabric and set off the whole Spruce theme throughout. The dark tones of this fabric are then complemented by the 330 wood stain on the chairs, which is a similar dark shade.

32 Verona Side Chairs were also added to this area. The seat pads of these chairs were upholstered in Warwick Shag Fawn, which is a light cream faux. Then the back pads were upholstered in Sunbury Anderson Comet, which was an excellent choice of velvet to match the orange colours in the rooms. This luxurious fabric matches the cream on the seat pad, but has horizontal orange stripes.

To finish the order of chairs, 12 Fully Arm Chairs were made, and upholstered in Sunbury soft grey faux leather and orange Hardy Villa fabric. Then, to complete the look and the set of restaurant furniture, two pieces of banquette seating were made. These two pieces were fluted back seating on legs, and they were upholstered in the same orange faux as the Brunswick Side Chairs.

Bar Furniture

Distressed solid ash table tops with bases were supplied to the bar area, as well as another stylish variety of seating. The stand-out pieces were the two Drake 2 seater sofas, upholstered in Sunbury Sauvage Soft Hawk, faux leather which is the same as some other chairs, but this time it’s a tasteful brown colour which adds a touch of class to this contemporary sofa.  Another great addition to the bar furniture was the Oregon Bar Stools, finished with a dark grey faux seat pad and another grey velvet, with darker grey horizontal stripes on the rest of the piece.

It was great to see such a large project come together, and we’re particularly pleased with the design scheme and how it all goes together. If you’re in need of a large amount of furniture for an upcoming project, feel free to contact us and speak to one of our helpful team about your requirements.
