Holiday park furniture for Elie Holiday Park
After St Andrews, Abbeyford Leisure asked us to furnish the whole venue at Elie: over 90 table tops and bases, nearly 180 chairs, and made-to-order sofas and banquettes for the restaurant and bar.
What we supplied

About Elie Holiday Park
The park sits behind the dunes at Shell Bay, with direct access to a sandy beach, on the Fife Coastal Path near Ruddons Point, a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Once Shell Bay Caravan Park, it was bought in the 1970s by Abbeyford Leisure, a family business that began in the late 1940s when Gerry Vose started building and selling trailers in North Wales. The land belongs to the Elie Estate, and the Castaway forest holiday homes, a joint development opened in 2018, almost trebled the properties for hire.
The Robinson Crusoe Adventure Park opened in 2011 and the Mirador Café in 2016. Ruddons Bar is the family bar, with food from a pie oven and live entertainment most weekends, and the Kincraig View Restaurant, named after the hill above the park that looks out over the Firth of Forth, serves local produce, gourmet burgers and Sunday high tea.
Burnt orange walls and a seaside heritage
In the restaurant, burnt orange walls rise to a vaulted ceiling strung with warm pendant bulbs, and large black and white photographs of holidaymakers from years gone by hang between the windows. Fluted banquettes on legs, in a matching burnt orange, run along the walls, so the seating and the room share one warm colour.
The Brunswick side chairs have striped backs and pale seats on dark timber frames, and others come in a deep spruce green, at tables in ash and a dark copper marble on black twin pedestal and three-leg bases. In the bar, Drake two-seater sofas, Oregon bar stools and charcoal tub chairs make a darker, cosier room for the evenings.
