Abbeyford Leisure Holiday Parks have a range of parks across Scotland and Wales for cottages, lodges, holiday homes, caravans and tents. They were recently looking to refurbish the inside of their main buildings at their St Andrews park in order to provide a new-look restaurant, bar and outdoor seating area.
Forest Contract provided a comprehensive service within the allocated timescale so that the opening of these facilities could happen on time. We provided a design service, along with mood boards, to help our client get a visual representation of their ideas collated into a full design scheme.
An extensive range of furniture was also supplied to all three areas of the restaurant, as well as the bar area. This furniture included a wide range of seating and accessories, banquette seating, tables, wallpaper and lighting.
This furniture for Abbeyford Leisure included 44 of our classic dining and coffee tables of varying sizes, all with laminated tops and black bases to match the dark wood colour of their new chairs and seating. The 147 chairs and stools were also in a wide variety of fabrics and wools, but the majority of the seating order was taken up by 64 wood and fabric chairs, all upholstered in a mix of Sunbury Sunhide Coffee and Panaz Westwood Stella Nutmeg on the inside and outside of the chair which makes a very interesting combination that goes well with the consistent dark wood theme. Another 22 chairs were full wooden chairs and again were in our 315 dark wood colour.
Next on the order was 11 benches of our buttoned back banquette seating, split up between large and small pieces. These were upholstered in a range of tan coloured Sunbury faux leathers to match the laminated table tops, and the wood colour was in keeping with the desired theme.
The full design service helped Abbeyford Leisure visualise what their new refurbishment would look like. This service also included us making mood boards and floor plans, and eventually supplying the wallpaper and lighting to complete their new look restaurant and bar areas.
The wallpaper varied, and two of their chosen styles were quite floral, with one being mainly green which went in the banquette seating area, and the other was a pale blue design which went in a smaller dining area. Their third choice was a wood panel style wallpaper to go in their raised seating area.
The lighting was also quite diverse, but mainly consisted of pendant style lights hanging from the ceiling, although there were also some interesting metal wall lights in the order too. The bulk of the pendant lighting was black lamp type lights, which went above the banquette seating and bar areas, and can be extended or shortened depending on how low you want them. The other hanging lights were placed in the other seating areas along with the wall lights and were also in a dark metal colour.
This large renovation has helped to transform Abbeyford Leisure’s St Andrews holiday park, and the comprehensive service has helped refurbish many aspects and areas of the restaurant and bar to improve the overall look of the building and the experience each visitor receives.
