Abbeyford Leisure runs holiday parks on the Fife coast. At St Andrews it wanted a new-look restaurant, bar and outdoor seating area, ready on time for opening.

Holiday park furniture for St Andrews Holiday Park
We provided the design service, with mood boards and floor plans, then supplied the furniture, wallpaper and lighting for all three restaurant areas and the bar: 44 tables, 147 chairs and stools, and 11 buttoned-back banquettes.
As on every scheme we design, the Abbeyford team visited our showroom in Salford to see the furniture in person.

About St Andrews Holiday Park
The park sits on a hillside at Kinkell Braes, beside the Fife Coastal Path, looking across St Andrews Bay towards the town, with East Sands beach a short walk away. Once the Kinkell Braes Caravan Site, it joined Abbeyford Leisure in 1984, and the company now calls it its flagship resort, with hot-tub lodges, holiday homes and touring pitches on the clifftop field.
In 2019 the park's clubhouse was rebuilt as The Braes, with a new entrance canopy, a restaurant, a contemporary bar, a games room and a split-level sun terrace. It serves breakfasts, gourmet burgers and pub classics and shows live sport, and Abbeyford says the terrace has some of the best views of St Andrews.

Vintage aviation, tartan and tan leather
The Braes has a playful theme: model biplanes hang from the ceiling, and black industrial dome pendants drop from scissor-arm brackets over the tables. A blue patterned wallpaper in the style of William Morris covers the walls, a large arched mirror closes the end of the restaurant, and a tartan carpet runs underfoot.
The furniture leans into that heritage look. Tan banquettes, buttoned along their backs, line the walls, cross-back bistro chairs have seats in a small check, and studded wing chairs in tan sit by the bar with tartan footstools in red, green and cream. Round oak tables on black bases keep it practical for families coming in off the beach.
