Hotel furniture for Simonstone Hall
For the dining room we supplied 30 armchairs in four Panaz colours, with split-fabric seat pads, and solid ash tables. The hotel came back for a second phase: a U-shaped seating area in modular booth seating, upholstered in a garnet faux leather.

About Simonstone Hall
The hall stands at Simonstone, at about the tenth mile of the James Herriot Way walking route, with Hardraw Force waterfall a short walk away and the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes about a mile and a half off. Its restaurant, TINE, serves British food built around local produce, some of it from the estate and kitchen garden, and looks out to Stags Fell, with a terrace for eating outside.
Beyond the restaurant there is a drawing room, a terrace lounge, a private dining room and a dog-friendly, wood-panelled bar known as 'the Pub', with an open fire, antique muskets, stuffed fish and hunting pictures. Bar meals, light lunches, morning coffee and afternoon tea are served alongside dinner, and the hotel hosts meetings, functions and weddings.
Deep green walls, a canopy of foliage and candlelight
The dining room is dark and intimate by design. The walls are painted a deep green, a canopy of trailing foliage hangs from the ceiling with filament bulbs threaded through it, and arched mirrors and candlesticks catch the light. It is a room for long dinners rather than quick lunches.
Against that backdrop, the armchairs needed to bring comfort and warmth without competing. They come in four soft Panaz shades, aubergine, lime, mink and pistachio, with curved backs that wrap around the diner, at solid ash tables. The deep-buttoned booth in garnet faux leather, added in the second phase, gives the room a single rich accent, and table lamps and candles keep the light pooled on each table, so the fabrics glow rather than shine.
